What do Cambridge graduates do?

In the most recent survey of graduates, the top two sectors that Cambridge History of Art graduates joined were the arts (circa 21% of those who responded), followed by media and communications (11%). Of course many History of Art students continue on to further study (circa 37% of the most recent survey) and this may be something that you want to consider.

Will employers want my degree?

The majority of employers that recruit Cambridge graduates do not require a certain degree. They are usually more interested in what you can do rather than what you have studied. History of Art graduates who want to use their degree often think about working in arts management, museums, commercial art or in libraries and archives. Be aware that all of these sectors have a wide variety of roles. For example museums have staff working in fundraising, marketing, communications, publications, visitor experience, education and outreach - as well as curators.
